I attempted this last year, and tiptoed into it. After seeing that I could grow some peppers, peas, and tomatoes, I will be planting a little of every vegetable that I eat and that might take to the New England soil/climate.

I've also begun to take the bus to work several days a week rather than drive.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6308779426937303310.post-43736697296758404062009-02-09T17:21:00.000-05:002009-02-09T17:21:00.000-05:00i'm buying a commuter bike and intend to start bik...i'm buying a commuter bike and intend to start biking to work every morningAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6308779426937303310.post-75227026875040939232009-02-08T17:55:00.000-05:002009-02-08T17:55:00.000-05:00i also have been carrying reusable nylon grocery b...i also have been carrying reusable nylon grocery bags or using previously used plastic bags on second, third and fourth shopping trips.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6308779426937303310.post-34727538271332563532009-02-04T22:45:00.000-05:002009-02-04T22:45:00.000-05:00One more thing I wanted to add. At work I make copies on the back of old pieces of paper and/or cut up to write notes on.
Lauren
twitter id: ltrexlerLaurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06942382676767558029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6308779426937303310.post-53479113003132937442009-02-02T11:56:00.000-05:002009-02-02T11:56:00.000-05:00We hardly ever use plastic bags when we shop. I recently went out to Ikea and bought some Compact fluorescent light bulbs. I plan to switch over all my bulbs to CFLs. CFLs save electricity and have a much smaller impact on the enviroment.
Jessi
twitter id: thedottedlineJessihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16203877592649009015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6308779426937303310.post-11667113657175410212009-01-30T15:53:00.000-05:002009-01-30T15:53:00.000-05:00This year I'm taking an environmental science clas...This year I'm taking an environmental science class so being enviro friendly has been in the forefront of my thoughts lately. I recently purchased some compact fluorescent light bulbs at Ikea and I'm slowly changing over all of the blubs in my apartment to CFLs. We also reuse quite a bit--old wipe containers make great storage for match box cars and other little toys!
Jessica
jessica@peekababyny.com
twitter id: peekababyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
