PopJudaica.com is celebrating Chanukah with 8 Days of Giveaways! Each day this week, we'll be gifting one lucky blog reader with a special Chanukah gift.
Today's prize is the Menorah Cork. Wondering what to do with all those empty bottles of Manischwitz? Now you can turn it in to a menorah! It's possible with this Menorah Cork which fits into any standard wine bottle. (We also like to use He'brew Beer and Jones Soda bottles!)
**ENTRY FOR THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED**
Enter to win the Menorah Cork by telling us about your favorite holiday beverage! (It can be alcoholic, non-alcoholic - whatever gets you in to the holiday spirit. You can even share cocktail recipes!) Let us know your drink of choice in the comments section below by Midnight PT tonight 12/22/09.
I go very traditional and my favorite holiday beverage is an good old fashion Egg Nog and Rum. On a nice winter night to me its so nice to sit there and drink it. Even if it is out of my Chanukah mug :).
ReplyDeleteNew favorite beverage for Shabbat, holiday, a rough day, or any excuse I can come up with is Gamla White Riesling.
ReplyDeleteYum.
I don't drink alcohol very much but during the holidays, I like to splurge a little.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite drink would be Diet Sprite (now known throughout the land as Sprite Zero) with a splash of vanilla vodka.
Yummy!
Hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps!
ReplyDeleteA mimosa (champagne and orange juice) with breakfast on Jan 1!
ReplyDeleteNothing beats a chocolate peppermint martini-creamy not clear.
ReplyDeleteCoffee. My favorite is always coffee. I just love sipping flavored coffees on any morning, but particularly on Chanukah mornings while watching the kids play together with new things (plus I often need the caffeine after the late nights).
ReplyDeleteMy comment was supposed to say hot apple cider with spices Please disregard the other one with typos.
ReplyDeleteHot chocolate with a splash of Bailey's and whipped cream. Only after a milchig meal, of course!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday beverage is hot spiced cider.
ReplyDeleteI know it's cheesy, but I like to put hot chocolate with marshmallows mix in my 'Chai Maintenance' travel mug, fill it up most of the way with coffee, add some peppermint-flavored non-dairy creamer (for us lactose intolerant types)....
ReplyDeleteI don't have a name for it, but it sure tastes holiday-like
looks way cool!
ReplyDeletemy favorite drink is diet coke w/ cherry syrup
Martinelli's Sparkling Cider!
ReplyDeletei only drink classy wines. and nothing says classy like manischewitz!
ReplyDeleteI know someone else already said this, but nothing beats spiced apple cider.
ReplyDeleteIt tastes good with everyone's holiday -- it's a great compliment to Thankgiving turkey & all those cranberries; it's delish with Christmas ham (not that I'd know! ;)) and it's clearly a winner at Chaunkah -- if applesauce is latke lovers' condiment of choice, then a hot apple drink surely pleases the palette, too. YUMMM.
Toss in a little bit of brandy, and my apple cider is enough to help me handle the holidays with my family, too. How's THAT for multi-purpose? ;)
Fun question. Love reading everyone's answers!
Hot Chocolate (as opposed to hot cocoa) with little marshmellows in a mug that my son made for me one Chanukah. And whipped cream too!
ReplyDeleteYear round, my favorite is the vodka gimlet, made with Rose's lime juice (now with an OU hecksher!).
